Winter is trying to hang on here in Melbourne, perhaps all it needs is a little Cisco Caesar lovin' to give it the old heave-ho. Join us in Brunswick on Oct 13 at the Spotted Mallard or in Bendigo on the first weekend in November for the Blues & Roots festival.

Coming up are two cracking gigs - June 19th at the Kingsbury Bowlo (if you like nanna cake you really shouldn't miss it) and an early Independence Day show for our annual birthday bash on July 3rd at The B.East - can you believe we've been playing together for 9 years now?!

Well, it's certainly Been A While but we are back in May with a gig at The Rainbow Hotel and are working on booking in a few more dates for you after a pretty lazy summer that we think we earned after a heavy couple of years touring the debut album.

After a leisurely winter of pub gigs we spent 4 sunny September days in the lush rainforest of far north Queensland.  The Wallaby Creek Festival was a good way to mark the start of festival season - next up is Bendigo Blues & Roots on the first weekend in November.

On the road again - we're finally fulfilling the rest of our rescheduled album launch tour dates over the next few weeks with a Sunday arvo in Warburton on April 19th at Wild Thyme and then a roadtrip up to northern NSW and sunny Queensland over the ANZAC weekend.  We can't wait to blow the doors off so tell your mates to head on over if they're in the neighbourhood.
April 24th - The Bearded Lady, West End, Brisbane (support from Phil Smith) - 8pm to late
April 25th - Byron Bay Brewery (support from Phil Smith) - 8pm to late
April 26th - Nimbin Hotel - 5-8pm

Our debut LP Burnt and Broken is now available in all its glory and we're enjoying bringing it to the people - come and say hi at one of our regional or interstate gigs on the Burnt and Broken launch tour.

We're baaaaack!  Saturday January 10th will see us hitting the stage at the B.East - get down to the sultry summer sounds of Cisco Caesar and throw back a few longnecks at our homecoming show.

Some crazy news...it looks like the November 15th and 16th gigs in central Victoria will be the last ones for the 2014 portion of our album launch tour.  Not one to do things by halves, bass player/co-singer/spiritual guide of the band, Caesar Slattery, has a golf ball sized tumour in his jaw and needs to have urgent surgery in late November.  As a result we've had to indefinitely postpone all tour dates from November 18 until after Christmas.  We're working on rebooking venues in Northern NSW, QLD and Warburton for early next year so stay tuned and keep an eye on our gigs page because we're definitely going to bring the Cisco Caesar Love to you just as soon as we can.  In the meantime, send Caesar some love via  Facebook or Twitter and get yourself some music from Bandcamp.

If you couldn't make it to our album launch at The LuWow in August you might want to check out this little number

It's nearly Album Launch time friends - August 30 at The LuWow followed by three months of touring this baby.
Oh yeah.

Holy Moly - celebrating our 7th birthday with fans new and old last night was a blast!
We celebrated July 4th in style at The B.East with what seemed like hundreds of people singing and dancing along.  It was a great night and we look forward to another 7 years of bringing the Cisco Caesar love to people the world over.

We're happy to report that our debut LP is almost ready to be sent out into the universe - join us on August 30 at the LuWow for one heck of an album launch party.

Here 'tis ladies and gents: the new single - Rooster & Lyrebird
give it a spin and feel the love.

Another single is almost ready
On Friday May 30 we're launching our second single from the upcoming record into the universe via your ears.  Rooster and Lyrebird is a cracker and it's come up a treat after some time in the studio.  Join us at YahYahs in Fitzroy to celebrate along with Amy Alex and Simon Hudson Band.  If you can't be there on the night, never fear, the track will be available for download here or via bandcamp on the morning of May 31.

Oooh yeah...
Thanks to all the fans who came out to help us celebrate the launch of our single, Mama Bear.  We had a blast and it was a great sendoff for Magic Hands as he heads off on his North American roadtrip for the next few months.  As we won't be playing any gigs until he returns, the best way to get your Cisco Caesar fix is to download our tracks (available
here and on bandcamp).

And It Starts...
After all this time you'd be forgiven for being a skeptic but here we are, only a few hours away from releasing our first single from the upcoming album.  We've been buried in the mixing and mastering process as well as playing all over this fine city of ours and are looking forward to releasing the fruits of our labour into the wider music world.  We hope you'll join us at the single release party on March 23rd at the Union Hotel but if you can't, make sure you're signed up to the mailing list and we'll be sure to send through the details once it goes live.

Into the Studio

We're heading back into the studio to put the finishing touches on our upcoming full length album.  Just quietly, we're getting a little excited...in the pants.  It might mean you see less of us out and about for a little while but we promise it will all be worth it when we finally release this bad boy.

Back Home Again

We've all made it home safe and sound and are gearing up for our upcoming Spring shows in Melbourne.  they kick off at the B.East on Friday, September 13th so come on down and hear for yourself what they are still talking up in England:

"Cisco Caesar are pure quality. They sound like they've been beamed in from the mid seventies, a time when you had to be absolutely amazing to get noticed as a serious live band. Tight isn't the word. Effortless - that's the word." - Horsham-Rocks.co.uk

Well, we're halfway through our European Vacation Tour and the Ireland leg is over.  The Guinness was grand and the crowds were friendly so thanks for your hospitality you gorgeous piece of the world.  It was quite the adventure getting to our stage at the Castlepalooza music festival in Tullamore but we made it with 8 seconds to spare!

Friday August 9th we open the London leg of our tour with a gig at The Elgin in Notting Hill and then it's up hill (to Oxford for the weekend) and down dale (to Horsham for a gig at Piries Bar on the 14th) before our final set at renowned London venue The Troubadour on Thursday the 15th.  Cisco flies out the following morning so it's sure to be a corker of a gig.  Get on down if you're in the area, we'd love to see you.

Brrrrr, it's winter in Melbourne and everyone seems to be hibernating in their couch and doona caves. We've decided to fight that instinct and head into the studio instead. We've been tracking new tunes and finalising a few crowd favourites that haven't been recorded and if all goes according to plan you'll be able to pop a brand spanking new Cisco Caesar album on your turntables this summer.

We have also decided to flee the Melbourne winter for a month or so and take the Cisco Caesar love to the wilds of Ireland and the UK. Be sure to let any friends and family in the neighbourhood know to check us out. We're still adding a few final gigs but so far we're hitting Slane and Galway in Ireland and Notting Hill and London in the UK (details on the
gigs page).

We've also added a heap of
videos to the site if you need a little Cisco Caesar in your life RIGHT NOW.

Hopefully you've managed to catch us at one of the many gigs we've hit over the past couple of months. February saw us kicking off 2013 at the
Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn. 3 gigs over 3 days living above a pub might not have been good for our kidneys but it sure was a blast. Followed up by the Sydney Road Street Party and a few other gigs made for a pretty tasty summer.

We've now nailed down a bunch of gigs leading up to our overseas tour and whilst we might be able to cram in a couple more we sure hope to see you at one or more of the venues listed on our
gigs page - preferably when we're playing there.

In the meantime, don't let the cooler weather get you down, recognise it for what it is - time to crack into the red wine and whiskey!

Well, we're still here, so I guess we'd better just rock 2013 Cisco Caesar style. We're taking a break during January to recoup and enjoy all that summer in Melbourne has to offer. In the few moments dedicated to working we're booking shows for Feb through July so keep an eye on our gigs page to find out where and when you can catch us this year. Stay safe and enjoy yourselves, we'll see you soon.

We had a blast at the End of the Line Festival! Thanks to all those who organized it and all the people who came and celebrated. We have one final gig to see out the year and then are taking the holidays off, so you should join us on Friday 21st for the Cisco Caesar Festivus Apocalypse Miracle Show - it will be a cracker!

Already????sheesh!! We are finishing up our recordings getting ready for Summer. Yeeeeeeeehaw! We have a few festivals lined up, and are currently booking shows for the warm season. Keep an eye out you never know where we will turn up.
